On rear engine setups, many chassis builders put the radiator in front of the engine, right above the transaxle for adequate air cooling. This popular arrangement saves space and generally hides the radiator, but can be tight on space sometimes, which is where this intercooler setup can help. By installing the intake manifold pointed toward the belt side of the motor this intercooler can feed the manifold from the rear with it's clever design having the entrance and exit on the same side. Radiator fans came be mounted inside the scoop if you want that extra punch.
